Hi, I jsut bought a 1984 Camaro, Berlinetta and have many questions, hoping to get some answers.

Im an import guy, and recently decided to go American Muscle. I bought the camaro because it was affordable and seemed like it had a lot of potential. It's a V8 model from what im "told."

Any suggestions to buy a new engine, and what kind of engine is the v8 berlinetta?? Im only 20 so im not too knowledgeable....

As soon as i can get the engine replaced and tranny fixed i think im good to go on the aftermarket parts. And also can i get a good link to a website with OEM parts to possibly rebuild the engine?

I also took a look at this website but was unsure if it was legit or not....

The link you have is for the typical internet parts store. Try national parts depot for the car, or ecklars. Also, what do you mean you were 'told' it was a v8. How many plug wires does it have?
If it is its likely a 305. Not a bad mill but its dated. I would work on getting it running and anjoy it for what it is ... then think about upgrading.
You came to the right spot for advice though. welcome to the forum and Camaro world.

Yes, it is Corporal. It is a rank I held a while ago, I have sence been promoted but its a title associated with so many other things that it kind of just stuck.

If you put the vin in this decoder it will tell you all you need to know about the motor. It will tell you if it is a v8 and what kind of v8 plus a lot more cool facts about your new ride. Just put in the 17 digit vin. Hope it helps
