Default new to the brain world

I'm new to the brain world of cars. I know it's the same basic set up as brainless. I bought a 95 Z28 w/ 6 speed. and 38,00 mi. looking to do alot of mods over the years. Just need to get pointed in the right direction for parts and anything i need to look out for up the road.

Welcome to the forum & good luck wth your Camaro.
If the car only has 38K miles, it should be in good shape and running good. The first thing I recommend is that you get the alignment checked out. Most cars were off as they came from the factory, and most people kept them that way. Make sure the tires and brakes are in good shape, and the wheels balanced.

You need a good base before you start modding, othrwise things can get ugly. Once everithing is up to snuff, you should start with mods that will allow future mods to perform best.

1) Install a cold air indution system (CAI) to allow the engine take in all the air it wants.
2) Install a cat back exhaust system to get rid of the restrictive factory plumbing.
3) Replace the knock sensor module in the PCM with a LT4 knock sensor module.
5) Long tube headers would help at this point
4) Get a PCM tune to maximize the effect of your mods.

After this you can go ahead and decide on what internal mods you want to get done, such as heads, cams, stroking, etc..

As the engine gets stronger, the time will come when you will need to beef up the chassis and power train. You will ned sub frame connectors, stronger control arms, and torque arm, etc.., stronger clutch, stronger rear end, etc..
