sounds realy nice man.. definatly start your own thread i would love to follow it
me personaly though i like a all motor no turbo charger or nos so i wont be droping anything on those but i will be droping a **** ton on my motor parts and thanks to whammers bad new ill have to save a few more months before i can get my crankshaft but it will be well worth it and i am going to go with dimond pistons just dont know if i am going to bore the motor out or not yet still in limbo there and getting lloyd's le2 head package not sure on the cam..
also going to swap gears in the rear to prolly a 3.73 or a 4.10 gear not positive on what one yet..

you're absolutely going to bore the motor out...if you don't, there's no way to make it a 383.
you COULD go with a 355...polish your stock crank(which can hold PLENTY of power) but you will still have to bore it .030. still be a really strong running little thing with the components you plan to use

i get under my hood all the time! lol
do yourself a favor, find someone that has a reputation of building SBC's...i've found that a lot of machinists don't have a lot of experience when it comes to LT1's...but the bottom end is PRETTY much the same concept
