need help 383 stroker

I like Wisecos' they make a lighter forged piston......And if you go with six inch rods the pistons pin hole will be machined up in the oil ring, set real high and in my opinion can jeopardies piston stabilization.

Just joined! Im 18 years old and out of Utah..... I'm also in the process of 383ing my 94 Z i got when i was 16 so far i've got a 4340 eagle crank and 4340 5.7 eagle rods next up some extreme duty blower pistons propley going to get a -31 cc to lower the compression ratio so i can throw a procharger on and crank the boost up then im going wit a lt4 hot cam kit stock heads and intake wit a port and polish 58mm TB, MSD ign system, and i haven't decided on the fuel system yet

sounds realy nice man.. definatly start your own thread i would love to follow it
me personaly though i like a all motor no turbo charger or nos so i wont be droping anything on those but i will be droping a **** ton on my motor parts and thanks to whammers bad new ill have to save a few more months before i can get my crankshaft but it will be well worth it and i am going to go with dimond pistons just dont know if i am going to bore the motor out or not yet still in limbo there and getting lloyd's le2 head package not sure on the cam..
also going to swap gears in the rear to prolly a 3.73 or a 4.10 gear not positive on what one yet..

you're absolutely going to bore the motor out...if you don't, there's no way to make it a 383.

you COULD go with a 355...polish your stock crank(which can hold PLENTY of power) but you will still have to bore it .030. still be a really strong running little thing with the components you plan to use

thanks for making that clear to me whammer goes to show what a noob i am on certain parts to a motor and how to make A into B but yea i got most of my parts lined up i just need to look around for a good shop that has a good rep to let them touch my baby i mean you dont wanna let a dumby under your hood would ya lol

i get under my hood all the time! lol

do yourself a favor, find someone that has a reputation of building SBC's...i've found that a lot of machinists don't have a lot of experience when it comes to LT1's...but the bottom end is PRETTY much the same concept
