Need an engine
Um.....your location? looking for a V-8 or a V-6?
Usually there's a few on craigslist but it's buyer beware.
I've seen some engines on ebay as well,you local auto dismantlers should have used engines with at least some sort of guarantee that they run.
You could by a cheap body rough but good running donor car to part out and keep the engine.
If you are going for a rebuilt you could get yours rebuilt at a local machine shop or use it as a core someplace like NAPA,they usually have rebuilt engines available.

what exactly is wrong with your current engine ?
You can give Gm High Performance a call, i contacted them about 2 years ago and they were still selling crate LT1 engines for 4k
it would be cheaper to just have your current one rebuilt if it has to come to that
