98-02 SS/Z28(any LS1) will run close to the same time, check the Z28 LS1 times...

Oh fo' sho' lol....04 Stangs arent anything to an LT1...WHenever I first got my car one thought it could hang with me so I just punched him and showed him what my Z had I kept pulling and pulling away it was amazing ...my car was stock at the time also...I stole this quote from someone on these forums and found it to be true so as they put it...."What is a Camaro? A small vicious animal that eats mustangs" haha

I don't know if it was driver, but I had a 99 silvarado and out run my cousins 02 GT and the old style 5.0. As far as camaro VS. mustange the only time mustange had anything over the camaro was when all the cars run the 305.

Not quite true. They are really a drivers race, fortunately LT1's are a bit more forgiving to the Average driver than 99+ GT's. Which have been known to dip down to 14.0's 100% stock.

I was just assuming the Lt1 could take an 04 GT since I was a new driver with my Z28 and and the 04 GT couldnt keep up to my Z....he was testing me and I wanted to see what my car had and he never got me from a 40 mph roll to around 100-105 when we shut it down

I have an '00 SS stock. there are also 3 04 stangs in my family, 2 stock GTs and one mach1 (anything but stock). i havnt gotten a chance to play with the mach1 yet. but between driving aginst my brother in his '04 GT and driving the other one i have access to, the SS seems so much faster.
