so ive been doing some work on the Z. i tore the motor apart due to some bad compression (max psi was 120 on cyl 6) she got new rings and bearings now its all back together sitting on the stand. now im getting ready for paint, sanding the body down (i found about a 1/2" thick layer of bondo on the rear pass fender, instead of hammering out the dent which took me about 15 min they just gooped bondo all over it) ohh a also have to fix the big *** dent in the pass side rocker

so ive got a parts list together

2 door mirrors
front bumper cover
hood
headliner
steering wheel (i think the po tried to eat it lol)
transmission
berger panel (the damage to the rear fender broke the panel so they used a top notch method of repair... duct tape on the inside and bondo to hide the crack lol)

im also going to be doing some body mods

antenna delete
rear bumper marker light delete
third brake light delete (im going to cut out the "CAMARO" on the berger and make that my third... thanx for the idea corey)
lock cylinder delete for both doors and hatch

You have really dove in with both feet on your car. That is a lot of work, but it should be a pretty sweet ride once you get everything done.

Did you ever solve your shifting issues?

I have a '90 Vette that is now my track car. When I drove it on the street it was a blast and it got 28-30 MPG on the highway. You can pick one up for 5-6K now in pretty good shape. My dad just bought a '92 6 speed for $5K and the only issues were a ripped up driver seat and the LCD in the gauge cluster doesnt work.

I've had a couple 4th gen Camaro's before, and now have a 92 LT1 Vette. I've been able to "compare", which is what makes it easy to say he's making a good choice.
Nothing against the Camaro, but.....it ain't a Vette!
