lt1 rattle from drive shaft area

Default lt1 rattle from drive shaft area

Hey guys recently my car developed a weird rattle from the drive shaft tranny area so i thought of what it could be and replaced it transmission mount wasnt that, u-joints wasnt that im not sure what else it could be any ideas

That's also right about where the catalytic converter is. With the engine off, get under the car and rap on it with your fist. Listen for either a tinny rattle (disconnected upper heat shield), or more of a sandy rock sound (broken up cat converter innards).

Yea i tried that its more then just a noise it shakes the whole car whenever you let off the gas

could be in the tranny or rear end its hard to say without feeling/hearing it myself.

Yea i was thinking it could be the output shaft bearing but im not sure

what kind of trans mount, oem, poly? how much play in the rearend gears, pinion shaft?
