FWIW - a crankshaft is inside the engine, connected to the piston rods.
A driveshaft exits the transmission and connects to the rear differential.
But I'm not sure if the driveshaft length is the same for both cars (V6 vs V8).

Ok, just for future reference, im learning all this car stuff on my own. Everything i learn is from the internet, a friend of mine, and you guys so cut me some slack every now and then.
