Default Low coolant light

Ever since ive had my car its showed a low coolant light constantly. Never had a problem with leaks. Even when I fill it from working on it it shows up. Where is the censor for it?

Sensor is on the outside of the radiator, passenger side, top.

Thanks, I realized after I asked how obvious it is.

I read somewhere that the low coolant light and the sensor are a direct run to one another and has nothing to do with the computer of the vehicle. So replacing or cleaning the sensor should solve the low coolant light issue but I have read some post on the web where replacing the sensor did not solve the problem.

The sensor is a simple switch. I can't remember for sure, but I think that it is normally closed when it senses coolant. If you replace the sensor, and the light stays on, check the wiring between it and the dash for a possible open or short.

They are cheap and easy to fix, check gmpartsdirect.com for the part. It's a good thing to have working properly for peace of mind.
