Ok, next question. Is that a rubber grommet of some sort that the inlet tube goes through to the tank or is that piece built into the tank itself?

yes it is. should slide in there. never had one out but thats the way i understand it. might want to shine the metal up so it doesnt tear the rubber.

just in case have a look at it. lol. might try a hair dryer or heat gun to soften up the rubber.
