Is there any way to head sheild them or re-route them? do you have any suggestions

you cant run open headers, O2's stay too cool. after the engine warms up its not going to want to run under load.

i did this on my car once i got it running, i barely made it around the block, then i put just the y pipe and high flow cat on and it was fine.

What if the o2 codes are deleted in a tune? and my car has been running w/out a cat last summer. Is it possible to put a cutout inplace of the cat after the ypipe?

just unplug the maf and run SD
and i bet ur problem, importmd,was ur car was still trying to figure out the tune.

u change optimum fuel trims with any mod, and LTs are a biggie, every car I have put headers on will die a few times the first few days and will take about 100miles to figure itself out and run fine

it ran fine, just didnt want to drive. soon as i put the rest of the exhuast together it was fine

that is smart i just paid a shop to put mine in but i didn't have any of my tools either so it took about 5hrs to complete the job

yeah i had a snaped header bolt in my head, my tranny mount was shifted and twisted the engine n snapped the last two bolts on the back of the heads, soo i figured this is the best chance to put themin with the most ease
