Default Intake with traction control...

So i bought this.. its on its way

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SU...e%7c5.7L%2f350

If you go into the "Check Applications" and go to 5.7L 350 it says

Not designed to fit models with Ram Air or traction control.

How big of a problem is this going to be or can i just make it work anyways...

Ya i talked to a Summit rep today and he said my only problem might be hood clearence.. uggh. I always turn the dam ASR off anyways....

And the SLP would be sweet but its more pricey. whats up with the dual intake thing, is that just for looks or is it actually nice?

Well i dont know how good it will look but if hood clearance is an issue you could always either go out and buy a hood scoop to make it fit or you can built your own. When i first got my car i couldnt fit the elderbrock air filter on it that i had so i had to buy a smaller one.

its my understanding the slp does flow just a tad more than the moroso or the k&n. i dont know what the cost per hp gain but it seems expensive to me too. lol.

Haha ya no pictures!! I wasn't worried about it when me and my friend were doing it lol. BUT i will take a couple of the finished project. It took alot of slamming it down. Alot more work than i thought it'd be. had to put the filter on from under the car and everything. But it does sound great, notice in throttle response (it is a 6spd actually), and at higher RPMs i can actually feel a pretty noticible difference.
