Default traction control

I have a 1995 Z28. I'm confused about what I've read in other forums discussing this question: How do I turn off traction control? Is there a switch, or is it more complicated to turn off than that?

Some are different. Your lucky if you have the switch... Otherwise, if it's TC that doesn't "turn off". It shouldn't bother you if you plan on racing and what not.

It isn't really that I want to turn it off. I was just wondering if there was a switch, and if so, whether it was on or off. I'd rather that it be on (I can't find a switch anywhere though). I don't want to race it, burnout,or dog it. The car I drove before this was a 1991 Lumina (3.1L), and I drove that stupid thing around like a race car. Now that I have my camaro, I'm a complete grandma. It's mainly because it's SO pristine. 25000 miles, NO scratches, PERFECT paint (it's still a very rich red - like new), the interior still even has the new car smell. It belonged to some old guy who collected cars and hardly ever drove it. It's a beauty. The tires were crap though (changed them). Still had tread, but they must have hardened over the yearsbecause I got really bad traction. Which leads me to my curiosity about traction control. But hey, I might think about doing a burnout in the parking lot when I graduate from college in a few months : )

Burnouts are a strain though.
