I have a 96, Z28, convertible. There is a warning light on the dash, which is:

1. Square
2. Arrow pointing Down
3. Perhaps, jiggly water lights at the bottom

Anyone know what this is? The temperature guage is reading normal.

Low Coolant Light

 

Thanks NJ8. Something must be wrong with the sensor.

 

Most likely. Its a very common issue on the LT1. Im pretty sure you can even just unplug it and the light would go away.

 

Anyone know where this coolant level sensor is?

except in your case you can just unplug it so you dont need to drain anything

actually a common issue for GM period. Cavaliers are prone to having this dummy light on.. however, i didn't know just unpluggin it would turn out the light.. good to know.
