IAC replacement.

I did the start it for 5 seconds with the pedal slightly pushed thing, then shutoff for 10 seconds. Everything seems to be working mostly well. 95% of the time it fires right up. This morning it gave me a tiny bit of trouble but still started ez.
Edit: well I jinxed it. After a week of perfect starting at the turn of the key, today it almost killed the battery before it finally started.

no ses light. I will probably have to get it scanned though. Can't believe it started perfectly for a week....

Sorry that was related to the TPS, turns out O'Reilly gave me the wrong one and I couldn't figure it out so I had the chevy dealer here in town fix that. After that and swapping the IAC, it was fine for a week. There's no ses light anymore it's just hard to start again. 2020 has been a rough year on my car, I've spent a mint and it's still giving me issues. I'm almost at the end of my rope with it.

check fuel pressure, maybe try turning the key on then off wait for 10 seconds turn key on then off for 10 sec then try and start. fuel pressure may be low and this may help it to get up. see if that helps.

no, do not turn key to start, what you want to do is prime the fuel pump a few times without turning the key to the start position, only to the on position so you can hear the fuel pump go on then turn off. then turn key off and wait a short time and then turn key on and listen for the fuel pump to come on and go off. if it does not do that then you didn't wait long enough. if you just turn key of then on again right away the pump will not re prime. i
