hot when cold
i noticed this a while ago, but since its getting cold again ive noticed that when the air is colder, my temp sensor says im running a little warmer than when the air is warm.. could this just be a faulty temp reading because of the extreme change of temp from the air to the engine?? it stays around 210 when warm. it doesnt run real hot cold, right around 225. i was just wondering thanks

RE: hot when cold
The colder the ambient air is outside, the hotter the motor will run. Since the air is denser (and the car doesn't measure density) there is more air in the air to fuel mixture. The result is a lean setting.
