1: if you are getting rid of the car, no. it is good practice to replace them because removing heads isn't a common thing to do

2: what flavor ice cream do you like? be prepared for opinions.

yes you do. the head bolts are torque to yield. they stretch when torqued. you may get away with using them over then again you may not.

did you guys with LT headers have to get ya diver side header bent. the end of my header where the exhaust meets touchs the bottom of the car. when i cut them off to replace my head gasket ima put collectors on like i shoulda to begin with. but with it touchin on the bottom i think ima have to get the header bent to make it work.

what was the mileage on the car when you started all this? I'm planning on doing something similar with the same engine and I want to know if any problems could have come from poor maintenance in the past. I'm trying to find out as much as I possibly can before I dump any money into anything.

mine got about 174xxx but it ran fine before I started messin with it. I'm findin out this stuff ain't really that hard and can b done in a day. my hiccup is not knowing obvious stuff and not havin the the tools. I got the Hayes manual its makin things all easier as far as disasemble and reassemble. idk much bout what parts r good to upgrade to so I jus go offa the info I get from here.
