As in "corvette heads" do you mean standard 58cc reverse cooled LT1 aluminum heads that came on the Camaros?

all depends on what was done to the heads. as far as i know the vette heads are the same as the camaro. both are lt1. i will be using lt le2 heads on mine with a le intake. le being lloyd elliott. check out his website and if your serious give him a call, give u a better idea what u can get and what cam goes good with your goal. u will need a cold air intake (cai) long tube (lt) headers with a good cat back exhaust.

heads won't really gain you TOO much horsepower without the cam to go with it. you'd be wasting your money buying stock corvette heads.

you want to do something head wise, do as craby said and take a look at what lloyd elliott has to offer

the heads are basicly the same, some of the other chevy lt1 heads are steel but the vette and camaro lt1s have aluminum heads and are interchangable, there are a few different styles of aluminum heads for the lt1. i believe the 93 heads flow better stock but are not good for porting, 95 up to 97 have the strong heads that are good for porting. all are interchangable.

why u say "ported heads"...is any job done to them....did any corvette came with LT4?

If LT 4 ported heads, or LT1 ported heads vs stock LT1 head....changing head to head you notice a drop on lower torque, and slight increase in mid and upper rpm, to say a imaginary number..20HP !!!

To take advantage of the ported heads, u must change cam, intake, and free flow air filter system and headers. depending on ur cam choice and how ported this heads are....60-80 hp could be a reasonable number.

craby, i'm going to modify some of what you said.

93 had the 374 heads which are very good for porting.

94-96 had the 643 heads which are also very good for porting

97 had 561 heads which are not so good for porting...but if you go with the LE1 package, these heads are perfectly fine.
