quick question guys. My friend has a 4th gen LT1 firebird formula. Just wondering how hard it is to put headers on. Do we need to lift the engine (which is how it looks) or will they slide it. Thanks.

 

It won't be easy and the engine will have to be lifted several inches. While you are doing that, put in new plugs & wires, and route the wires very carefully away from the hot exhaust pipes. Also, once you have put the headers, the extra noise will make the knock sensor register a lot of false knocks and cause a retarded spark for no reason. Replace the LT1 KS module, with a LT4 KS module and avoid the problem.
