i want to build my heads. how should i have them ported? (intake/exhaust) should i port out the valves or not? this is a stock cam for now and it has an adjustable fuel pressure regulator from aeromotive. do i need new injectors? the stock ones are 24lb.should i shave them too while i am at it.

porting your heads won't gain you much HP on the stock cam. if you're pulling the heads anyway, you might as well throw a cam in there. save some time and do the work once. if you do a heads and cam package then yes you will need bigger injectors

ok what size cam would you suggest for a street application? i was going to get one sooner or later anyways. ive already got the roller rocker at my house. they are 1.6s i was going to wait on the springs until i decided on a cam. i also have some new pushrods fromm gm performance. let me know what kind of setup you would do on a budget.

To get good results the heads, cam, compression, intake, exhaust, and displacementhave to be matched to each other. You have to decide how much power you want, and how you want to useyour car. If you plan to drive the car regularly on the street, the engine has to be built differently than one that is going to live on the racetrack.

yup...that's what i was trying to say. talk to whoever you want to port your heads about all of that and they can match everything perfectly to what you desire
