Has anybody swapped a 10 bolt for a 8.8 rear end
I was curious if anybody has or know what it takes to put one up there
Yeah a 12 bolt or a 9 inch is nice but for the price you can have a 8.8 behind a camaro for less than a grand and never worry about it Grenading plus no parasitic loss compared to a 9 incher

already finished my 8.8 - LS1TECH
its doable, if you have the facilities to do it, otherwise, its best just to buy a 9 inch

essentially what you're going to have to do is cut all the brackets off your 10 bolt, weld them in the exact same spots on your 8.8. Then narrow the axle tubes, weld on teh correct axle ends for the chevy brakes then you're set.
We did this when we made my 9 inch for my car, not as easy as you think. Plus, don't forget you need to figure out a mounting system for your torque arm on teh rear end housing
