Handling problems
I own a 94 Z28 convertible which I just recently purchased. It is my first Camaro and I love it, however I am having some handling problems I hope you can help with. Whenever you drive on a road which is hilly instead of just the normal up and down motion, my car does this almost circular side to side motion, where it dips as it goes to one side and then rises as it goes to the other side. I know the bushings are bad on the lower rear trailing arms and so I assume are the rest of the bushings on the suspension. What else besides the rear trailing arms and bushings should I check? I am going to purchase the rear trailing arms in a couple of weeks and install them. I want the car to handle really well in curves and moving in and out of traffic so any help including upgrade ideas for the suspension would be greatly appreciated.
You should check out the front suspension also as it affects handling more than the rear. Ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, sway bar links, steering rack bolts, subrame to body bolts, shocks front & rear, and get a good wheel alignement, including trust angle.
