Gears
Hell it would be nice to still have that car. I paid $2000 for it. I spent maybe another 2K for the interior and other parts needed for the restoration (everything but the engine bay and suspension was restored) Sold it for $8000. My mother flipped out about the car when if first came home. It had bad gas in the tank and the front rotors were locked up. IT was an ugly brown, with a hood scoop and shredded interior. Good things were it was a true GT, (GTs were special back then not just V8 cars) no rust and no major body damage. about a week later the car was running great, stopping fast. About 9 months in the garage and the car came out straight as an arrow, Vintage Burgandy Metallic, brand new interior, and winning trophys in local car shows. When I sold it the meter had 58K original miles, and only needed the engine bay painted and new suspension (common for 30 yr old cars).
I loved that car but I needed a daily driver not a show car at that point in my life.
