I was already planning on upgrading my springs but are you saying I should be able to just use stock rockers or should I look for some self aligning 1.5s? What strength springs do you think would be good? or should I just call comp cams and talk to them about what they would suggest?

What about the rockers? Were you saying I should be able to use stock rockers?

So whats the advantages or disadvantages to using self aligning roller rockers vs non self aligning roller rockers with guide plates? Just trying to decide which style rockers to use.

i figured at high rpm with high lift the guide plates held the pushrods in place better. also like the smaller size of the rockers.

The biggest concern I've heard with self aligning is if the valves started floating at high rpm then the rocker may come off the valve and cause some serious mayhem but idk bout that since the stock are self aligning. Theres a set of crane cams s/a rockers I could get for 70 but it looks like the rocker itself was wearing on the spring retainer instead of rolling on the tip.

stock are made to go 5500 rpms. if your not planning on any 6500 shifts then your ok. i would shy away from used rockers that did not come off the engine your working on.
