Default Gas Milage on these LT1's

I know this 18 from the factory is a thing of the past unless there are air intakes air filters and all the lil odds and ends to help
so if yall could tell me what yall get and what yall do to get it

23 mpg hwy 93 camaro fresh motor 323's, headers, cai. no idea of the city millage cause my foot is mostly to the floor.....

I had a 95 z 6 speed ,stock with cai that got 28-30 hwy at 75mph. 6th gear only tached 1700 rpms...

got 28 from my first stock 93 z28. getting 22 from the 93 i have now. had it up to 25 for a week and havent figured out why it went up or down. i think its brake drag (sticky calapers) but could be my trany, something in it is goin but dont know if it is effecting the mpg.

Got 29 3/8 mpg @70mph out of my '93 last check.
Lowered 2",stock except catback,A4 W/2.73 gears.

22 Hwy on cruise control at 70 mph (A4). Hopefully be getting more once it's tuned.

about 16-18 mpg around town suburb driving with lots of stop lights. Full bolt ons

i get about 22 highway.
at 60 my rpms are at 2000.

I have a late 97 z28 with about 39,000 miles on the clock and I manage around 20 to 22 mpg round town.

Last summer on a trip to Scotland i managed 35mpg (had just had a full service, new alloys & tyres, new pads and disks, new sparks, oil & pump change, air filter, etc etc etc)

Secret is to NEVER use cruise control, NEVER use the brakes unless you have too, try not to accelerate up hills, rather gather speed going down them instead, check your tyre pressure religiously; and keep the revs below 2000.

I know that all seems counter-intuative when driving a hulking slab of american muscle... but at £62 for a full tank in the UK i'd rather save the money and spend it on futher improvements to the car!!!

94 Z28 LT1 fresh rebuid to stock, 4L60 auto tranny, 3.23 rear, no addons yet, all stock except Magnaflow, no EGR or Airpump, and a tune to remove them ... 20 mpg in town 23 hwy.
