its pretty straight forward... are you getting just a pump or a whole new sending unit?

your going to have to crack the case of the sending unit open to install that pump. make sure you get an epoxy that will withstand being soaked in fuel forever, unless your near tokeland wa than craby can plastic weld it for ya ... i know you want to use that welder craby

metal clap thingy???

duct tape will NOT work, about 15 min in the tank and the sending unit will fall apart.

from the JB Weld FAQ page
Q: Is J-B Weld resistant to water and/or gasoline?

A: When fully cured, J-B Weld is completely resistant to water, gasoline, and about every other petroleum product or automotive chemical. For wet-surface or submerged water or gasoline repairs, see our J-B Stik or Waterweld product information.

i was joking, but i do have and issue. My fuel level sending unit is not the same one ive seen on the others lt1 pump instals, and i have 3 wires on it,, one in the bottom that connects to the unit, from the unit, and 2 on the top, 1 to the top wires and 1 to them pump. I have no clue where to put the extra black wire that came with the new pump
