a stock cubed car can accomplish that. people are making horsepower well into the 400's on stock cubes. its all about the heads and cam and supporting mods.
if i were you, i'd just rebuild my stock block. tear it down, polish the crank, forged scat i beam rods, forged diamond pistons, bore it .030 over, LE2 heads, suggested cam from him, and beat most people on the road with a stout little 355.
the only reason i went 396 is because i wanted to be different and i found a great deal on the motor itself. is it overkill for my needs/goals? absolutely. but i love it, lol
