If you want OPTIMUM sound and performance this is exactly what you need. What you are looking for is called an Xpipe (dumped) that means the exhaust has turn down tips before the rear axle. Thats what I have along with 2 dynomax bullet mufflers that are just straight pipe. Each pipe is 3" in diameter and its stainless steel ...with the 2 bullet mufflers it was like $340 done at a muffler shop. Of course I have long tube headers which the Xpipe is attached to which makes it sound even louder. You WILL get a noisey cabin...but I love a noisey cabin....its music to my ears....dont even need a radio! lol

Nothing flows or sounds better than an Xpipe except open headers which I don't recommend. This set up also gives what is known as a "true dual system" meaning each header has its own exhaust pipe.

There is 1 downside to a true dual set up....clearance! you will loose a couple of inches of it. Not really a problem if your car is not dropped.

So go to a decent muffler shop have them do one in stainless steel with 2 bullet mufflers or just order the mufflers yourself off of ebay or whatever they are like $40 each at most. The whole thing should run under $400 installed with mufflers more or less.

oh and you can do a 2 1/2" or 3" set up. Im at work so I cant attach the clip but if you go to my Fquick page and scroll down about mid way is my only video clip with sound and you can see the xpipe set up underneath the car and hear it. It of course does not do justice as it sounds even better in person:

And IMO .... even though my car is an LS1, LT1's sound even better with this set up!
