Default Evil Optispark

1994 Camaro Z28 Conv. If your opti was found to be a problem would you need to replace the dist. itself or would you have to replace the cap and rotor also. Need to know cause cap and rotor kit cost more then the dist itself where I live (AAP or O'rileys). Thanks in advance.

the distributor itself definately, the cap and rotor really does no good if the opti's bad, a cap and rotor kit usually cost around $150, whereas the entire opti-distributor cost around 350-450.

good luck!

Order the MSD kit, get some new wires too, I hear that some people have trouble with the MSD firing through the stock wires.

distribution of electricity on every vehicle is essential.... particularly on my mercedes benz distributor cap, since it is responsible for distributions of electricity and extremely subjected to hot temperature. better have regular checking and replacement...
