I was just reading the sticky about testing the EVAP system.

I have DTC P1441, but with no drivability issues and no issues with rough or abnormal idling. I changed the purge valve solenoid, but the DTC returned. That leads me to believe the canister is cracked or bad, which has me worried about charcoal pieces in the lines. What is the best way to check for the presence of charcoal stuck in the lines?

 

Check to see if the newer solenoid holds vacuum. It probably was gummed up by sucking up charcoal from a canister that's falling apart.
