and lets just say if he does even a halfway decent job then he's past a stock ls1

With those head and even a stock LT4 cam he would be at if not past stock LS1 power, even with the lower 10.5:1 compression over the stock LT4's 10.8:1. If you're planning on a 383 I'd recommend going with a head that has a 212-225cc intake port volume (of course, this is dependant on how much lift etc. you're running on your cam). It's hard to recommend a cam on the info that you've given us. This is why most of us will recommend a head/cam package from the same guy (read: Lloyd Elliott or Pete at Dragon Race, Advanced Inductions or others...those are my top 3 off the top of my head)

because those are the top 3 to choose from, haha.

slvr is hitting everything right on the head. you want every part of your engine build to work with each other...you can't just go slapping random things together and hope for great results. talking with someone who has a lot of experience with lt1's is the best route to go...and the 3 people that slvr listed are the best in the game
