My oil pan is screwd up...the previous owner tightened the drain plug sooooo tight that the thread of the oil pan is messed up, so now the drain plug just "free spins". Since i dont have the money to buy a whole new oil pan...nor want to go through the installation, someone suggested to put an over sized drain plug to re thread the pan....is this possible? and if it is...does anyone know the size of the stock drain plug and what the next size up that would work for my situation? Need help asap, because i really need an oil change and i use my car on a daily basis! thanks guys

Take the old plug out and go to a parts store. Ask for an oversize self tapping plug & your problems are solved. You will have to go back & forth a few times as you screw it in, just like you would with a tap. Do not try to screw it in all at one time as it will bind and leak. The second time it will go in just like a regular plug.
