My second conceren is: do i need to buy anyhting else to run my LT1 to run well? Wouldnt the car backfire due to no compresstion? any help would be greta, THANKS

im buying cutotus too

you mean dual cats or true dual exhaust? either way you can get two, just depends where you want to put it.. some people put it before the cats, on the Y, or I, by the muffler...

it wont backfire, its just like havign open headers

i have a single to duel exhaust (the stock exhaust), well I'm building the car on the budget, Il most likely going to put it before the cat. What cutous have you been looking at?

i jsut bought the jegs cheapies for now ($20 a piece) but thats only because in the not so distant future ill be buying a new y pipe anyways, and then ill get the QTP electric cutouts (you can even get a remote for them so you can open your cutouts from like 500 ft away) but if you're going to leaving this on for a good while spend the extra $250 and get the electric, i hear QTP is the best. do you have headers yet? i wouldnt get cutouts as a starter mod, and if you just have a single cat (95-93) then you'll only need 1 cutout if you're puting it before the cat (even though you can put it right after where the headers connect if you dont have the stock manifolds)

but dont get cutouts unless you have headers or an upgraded y otherwise its kinda pointless since you're not getting any extra force.

Oh yeah no doubt. I'm planning of buying a pair of long tubes buy the middle of summer. I love the sound of straight pipes, but have the reasoning that i wont always want a screaming loud car soo i figure cut-outs will do the trick.
