Well just installed my woodruff key and crank gear on the crank. The hub bolt threads in right so seems to be threaded properly. Getting ready for balancing, all I need is my keyed hub and I'am customizing a longer woodruff key for it!

Today I removed the torque arm to replace the bushing. My torque arm was covered in crude and sludge. Cleaned up nice. I think there is a little seepage out of the rear, not a leak, but being flung off from the rear drive shaft joint. If you ever do one make sure to get the bushing housing secured first, then slip the torque arm in. I had to remove my torque arm twice! And I noticed my fuel vent hose was unhooked at the metal to nylon splice. The piece of rubber tubing used has rotted. Easy fix though..............

I just got done fabing up the stud girdle. Tying everything in instead of drilling/splaying new caps into the webbing of the block just makes sense to me.

And I'm running 36lb injectors with the 292XFI. It will runs rich too. You need to have it tuned. I think they turn'em down until half/wide open throttle. I melted two cats. Although I have a single cat. But my bearings were very worn with 90thousand miles and sixteen years but I think my headgaskets were doing some "steam cleaning" of my cylinders too.

Ya this was the first time it's been off and cleaned too. It was covered in oily grit and hair! Right next to the exhaust, I know that was stinkin!!

I'm freaking out. I don't want to put the crank in and do any clearancing. Well, because I can't put the rods and pistons on yet. Is the machinest going to clean it good. I hope he installs the steel ball and freeze plugs right. I think I am going to let him assemble it! Those are the original bearings in the pic. I figured maybe he would use those for checking and clearancing, then break out the tri-armor bearings, those bearings take more clearance to, I aint' toachen'um!

I know one thing I ain't using that nasty assembly lube! That stuff is just old bearing grease and does not belong in an engine, maybe in a sealed universal joint! I'm going to use engine oil and a little of the lithium based grease.
