CraZ28's Engine Build Thread

I know all that. That's stroker basics. When you order Wiseco pistons is has all the compression ratings and rod length specs. I am more worried about cam clearance. And no one has answered my question about a loose fitting pilotbearing. I'm thinking about going Kevlar bushing now?

Good question Crab. It has to be installed before balancing? Maybe I should let my machinist handle it. I'll ask him tomorrow how to handle a loose fitting pilot bearing. And I am tired of messing with that dam keyless hub. When I first removed it I broke four pullers and heated it up until the crank gasket melted. Then I figured out about the center pin method. It is just too tight. The last time i installed it I hammered on it for about a half hour before it seated on the crank. Then I had to grind it so the balancer would go on! Lesson learned. Plus now I'm thinking about converting to a big blower on top!

then you're going to want different pistons to lower the compression...and i definitely wouldn't trust the chinese crap you've been putting in your motor if you're going with a blower. but whatever you think you need to do

Ya, thanks hammer. You can also change compression by heads or thick gaskets. My car is a street emissions regulated car, I don't need billet steel stuff! And all the American made stuff is too expensive for me, that's for the rich guys. But I sure do like the new style blowers they got out now!
