SUCCESS!!!! the boiling method helped. i believe its flush but hard to tell, it wont push on anymore so that should be a pretty good sign. thanks for your help. motors almost complete so ill be sure to share some pics

i put the socket on the nut and tapped it with a hammer. not hard. then if i got it to move a little more i did it again. took like four times to were it stopped. then i torqued it. i checked it again after running about 50 miles and it was lose so i re torqued it and its been tight sense.

ok so i should prob see if i can get it to go a little more. its pretty close to the distributer. ill be sure to double check it

if u think its bottomed out torque to 75 ft pounds.
