There is no chip in the 94s & up. The PCM has to be reprogrammed via the ALDL diagnostic port or sent to a shop that does reprogramming.

thanks for the help.....i didnt know that..so what exactly did the police do to the car to actually make it an "interceptor'? i did a carfax report and it said the car went from quebec to hawaii. it didnt give a reason, but it came back with a hawaii state police decal on the hatch,and the car is a two-tone black and white so i just put 2 and 2 together and assumed it was a cruiser..... any info is a help thanks

The Z28 did't have anything more than stock to be " police Interceptor " cars. The State Highway Patrol here in Texas used them for Years. Thet're the fastest Cop Cars around out of the box. The Cops used Mustangs before They had the Z28's here. Now they got pickup trucks.

To Uncle Bill;
What do the Texas cops do with the prisoners, chain them to the pickup truck bed? LOL

True, but would't that be construed as cruel and unusual punishment. Especially in bad weather.
