Spark plug and wire changes in this car are a real chore, you do it once and don't want to do it again. I suggest you get the best wires and plugs you can afford, something at least as durable as the stock plugs that the factory put in the car.

well thanks then i'm going to go with what i got now, and well i'll post anymore infor when i get done with it, i hope to start tomorrow morning on the egr and plugs and wires, also on the fuel filter, see what are the effects, also some input i forgot was that the car is wasting alot of gas it dosent hold the gas as it used to. I've heard that bad plugs do cause more gas burn.

If you were willing to wait a bit to do the plugs(if the car is hesitating at low rpm's the plugs themselves almost deffinately aren't the issue) you can take the sparkplugs.com spark plug challenge and get some nice plugs free. All you have to do is answer the questions they posted in the "Vendors Special" section and write a product review within 2 weeks of recieving the plugs...That's free money if you ask me...

You can use a stiff brush and brake parts cleaner, but keep it off the wires. Under the EGR there is a passage, usually a tubethat goes to the exhaust manifold . Sometimes it gets plugged up with carbon deposits.
ok i took the egr off, and yea its dirty, now my question is at the bottom of the egr there is a square hole do i put brake cleaner in there? also the passage u talked about the tube? do i have to disconnect or what? is it visible once the egr is off?? also do i put a gasket on the egr before insalling it back on?? if so can i get it an any auto parts?

Clean the hole out but keep the cleaning fluid away from the wiring, Take the tube out and clean it out, also clean the passage where the tube connects to on the engine. Put in a new gasket but try to save the old one, just in case. Most parts store should have a new gasket.

ok i got the plugs and wires on today they passanger side was a pain to get to the plugs were easy to get out and put in, the wires were a pain in the behind to route. i would not remove my alternator, i'm not sure what hose it is from but its the one that is right infront of were the wires set and its nearly imposible to fit the wires trew, but i did it. I start the car and drive it for a little bit the car hesetaste even more, before it was just a little bit, now its like if i punch in the gas it hardly responds, could i have put something wrong on the wires or plugs??, I also change the fuel filter, and i also put the new egr gasket on any suggestions on what to do now? also thanks guys for helping
