camaro running rough during idle
Ok I started a thread a few weeks ago about how my camaro had a miss during idle. Well I'm not sure where that thread is now because I just joined and I'm not familar with this site. Anyway, I have been looking around at some LT1 schematics and I noticed it looks like I have a hose in the wrong place. Ok on the right side of the intake (facing the front of the motor) there are 4 lines. A big hose going to the brake booster, a small hose going to the EGR Solenoid, a PCV valve and a vacuum hose going to the distributor. Well for some reason instead of having the hose that goes to the distributor, my PCV valve hose just loops around and plugs into where the distributor vacuum hose goes. See the pictures below to better understand what I'm talking about. Could this be the problem why my car is idling rough? Because I don't have the vacuum hose leading to the optispark?
This is how its supposed to look:

this is how mine looks:

Does anyone know when I get the right lines for this, where does the PCV valve connect and where does the optispark vacuum hose connect on the distributor.

what year is your car, is your car a 95? My car is a 94 and the picture for the 95 f-body is diferent from the way my car is set up. I guess there was a change in the year. But if your car is a 94 whichI wouldguess it isyour pcv valve hose is connected to the right place.I would not know about the vaccum hose to the optispark
The PCV hose should route under to the throttle body. Seems they have the PCV valve routed to a diffrent area. I wonder what they have on the barb at the throttle body to plug it off.
A 94 shouldbe a non-venteddistributor unless its been upgraded. Even so I would be curious to see what they got running to the barb under the t-body.
In this photo you can see the barb on the bottom left drivers side that should go to your PCV valve.
