I have a question for the Camaro gang. My friend has a 97 Z28 w/ the automatic and factory 2.73 gears. He wants to do a gear swap but is unsure of which setup to go with. I suggested 3.73s but he doesn't want to sacrifice much gas mileage and feels a 3.42 setup would be better. What do you guys think, 3.73 or 3.42? Is there any noticed gas decrease between the two? <Thanks, Paul

 

The fuel mileage between 3.42 and 3.73 is not that much, less than 1 MPG, but the performance difference is noticeable.
