bunch of BS?
i'm pretty sure these have came to discussion before... i think what came out of it was that they do absolutely nothing because the little electric fan could never be powerful enough to force air into the intake.
That "turbocharger" has a few flaws in it's design.
First, how much CFM is that fan putting out? Working with round numbers, a 350 at 6k rpm is taking in 608 CFM of air, N/A. At 3k RPM, it's taking in 304 CFM of air.
That fan would have to be putting out a lot of air pressure to be able to compress the air to boost the engine. The fan's CFM would have to be a lot more than the engine is taking in on it's own.
Then there's the applications they show. One has it mounted in the plenum at a right angle. So the air could wind up going either in or out the intake plenum!
Another shows it in-line, connected right to the TB. That means if it isn't running constantly, it's a restriction, not a boost, since the incoming air would have to fight it's way through the fan blades. Any idea how good or bad it would be to run an engine with a full boost at low rpm?
So, is it B.S.? I'll think about it!
