if you find one, please let the rest of the world know. Not to be a wise guy but back on topic

what are you looking to do (please don't say spray or f/i) please say your goals (flat 13's, mid 12's etc) and then reveal how much money you really have to spend.

You will then be told if it's pipe dreams or reality.

$1,000 won't even pay for the block machining, let alone the kit itself. To do a stroker, nitrous, forced induction, and all other surrounding parts to hold up to that power, you're looking at $20,000 roughly.

Everything for motor = $10,000 (a good F/I kit is a solid $5,000 or so), beefed up trans = $3,000, rear = $2,500, suspension and brakes = $2,000. See how fast it all adds up.

Unless the person who is donating the machine work is a real machinist, with some knowledge and experience with your LT1 block, I would thank them nicely and go somewhere else.

I'm not saying that they don't know what they are doing, but it only takes one minor mistake in machining to turn an otherwise worthy block into a piece of lawn art.
