98 6 speed Ls1 Rearend on a 1997 LT1

What will a 1998 LS1 rearend do for my1997 30th Anv. LT1. The rear end came off a 6 speed 1998 LS1. Will it give me better ride, speed,takeoff? Or will it be all bad?

Is your LT1 a 6 speed or auto, bc ifits a 6 speed im almost positive its the same rear end. If your car is auto then you have 3.23's in your rear and the LS1's rearend is the same but it has 3.42's

if im not mistaken the rear end is the same, 342's, for 6 speed ls1 and lt1, but i know that a rear end from an auto ls1 has 273's, cause i just replaced mine.
