Default 96 Z/28 Electrical problem?

I went to start my car this evening about to leave my friends house and the power was weak. when i started driving I noticed that my voltage gauge was very low, down in the rd. I also saw that my ABS INOP light was on. What is going on? This is the first time it has done this to me before. Is the ABS light on because of the low volts?

abs can fail without proper voltage, im surprised the motor ran. id say your alternator is toast or could be wires to it are damaged or disconnected. take the alternator in and have it tested. i would put a battery charger on the battery tonight.

I probably will drive another car tomorrow. I will check it out sometime tomorrow after school. The alternator is what i was thinking, but i hope its just the wires or something. I had it out when i did the plugs so maybe i just missed something. But I have been driving it for a week and a half since then so IDK.
