Default 95 z28 shut down

Hi All
My 95 z28 runs fine no noise, smoke misfire etc. Then all of a sudden it just dies, all power to the dash stays on. You can start the engine imediately again and it will fire up and run good and after a minute or so dies again. This happens while idling, cruising and hammering the car.
Any Ideas, because the engine light does not come on and I guess there won't be any codes then.

Does the security lite come on? Does it run for a few seconds and then shuts off, or does it run for a few minutes? Do you have one of those weird aftermarket alarms? You need to determine the reason for stalling, it is either electrical or fuel related. You need to monitor the injectors and the ignition. If it dies all at once after it has been running a few minutes, like turning off the ignition switch, it most likely is an intermittent electrical problem. These are hard to find, but you can start by wiggling all the electrical wires involved with ignition and sensorswhile the engine is running and see if a particularmove makes it quit running.

Sometimes seconds, sometimes minutes. Yes the security light is on when the engine is not running, when it runs the light is off. No alarm system. When it stalls you can sometimes hear that the injectors start pulsing for about 2 seconds then they arequite again. The engine just stalls, nothing else goes wrong, guages everything seems normal. Tried wiggling the wires already, but nothing

check your fuel pump or fuel lines there might be a clog in them and check the tank for debri to see if there is anything that is lose that is keeping fuel from getting in the lines.

Checked that already with a pressure guage. The pressure is good till after it dies then it drops slightly in presure. What bugs me is the intermittend pulsing of the injectors while the engine is not running and ignition on. Noboday touching any thing on the car

My 97 z did exactly the same thing about 6 weeks ago. I changed my oil, and put a can of seafoam through it and that cleared the problem up, make sure to keep a close eye on your oil level, with the leaky intake manifolds LT1s can go through oil faster than you would think. Anyway thats just my two cents, also ive noticed that putting a bottle of octane booster in every tank helps it run a little better.

Thanks I tried it, but still the same problem. It is actually getting worse now and a new symptom.
When it dies and you crank it to start again it's advancing the timing so much that the engine knocks hard then after about 2 seconds it runs fine and on the correct timing. What could cause the timing to advance while cranking?
It's driving me nuts
