Default 95 Z28 Missfire and hard shifting

I have 2 problems currently with my LT1

I recently ran out of gas and now I have a missfire like its only running on 7 cylinders or something

also I have had this shifting prob for a while.

It shifts hard from 1st to 2nd and it jerks when you first put it in drive... someone said its a throttle valve cable out of adjustment but I don't know how to properly adjust it or even if that is the prob.

thanks,
Josh

95 Camaros do not use TV cables. Is the SES lite lit?? If it is get the car scanned and it will make finding the problem easier.
The rough shifts may be the results of the misfire. Get the engine running right before messing with the transmision. Check the fuel pressure, and check to see that all injectors are firing. Replace the fuel filter as it may have gotten clogged hen you ran out of fuel.
If the fuel delivery is OK, then change the plugs, plug wires, and hopefully the opti is OK.

it has always had the hard shifting problem for the year I have had it.
no ses light (what is an ses light?)

Already changed the plugs and wires last time I had the missfire and it went away for awhile, now I ran out of gas and its back

I think I almost ran out last time when I got it too becasue my gas gauge reads 3/4 when I only have 5 gals left.

Do you have trouble picking up speed when you are gradually pushing on the gas pedal? I had a plug wire that was burnt through and it caused a spark knock, and a miss fire in, I think, my number 5,6,7 cylinders. When I took the distributor cap off there were burn marks all over where it had been miss firing. Hope this helps!
