The fuel lines did not have to be cut. You'll find that there are disconnect fittings (yellow arrow) that are easy to reach from the hatch. Make sure that you disconnect the electrical line from underneath BEFORE disconnecting the fuel lines.



We put in a new VDO pump that I came up on for free. This pump was not intended for a camaro, but after some modifications it was running beautifully. Otherwise, I was going to purchase one from my local autoparts store - http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...&parentId=49-0

You're lucky then. The third gen's have solid steel lines from the sending unit all the way down to the flare unions by the filter. No way in hell the sending unit is coming out without cutting the lines, which I didn't want to do.

Has anyone been able to use a high flow pump in these sending units? I got fed up after the third pump within a year and bought a factory pump.
