Default 94z28 exhaust need advice

ok so i have a 94z28 and i want to do a full exhaust from the headers back.... but i live in california so my question is there any setup which i can see decent gains with but still pass the smog test? if no then what parts of the exhaust can i modify without failing smog? thanks

shorty headers and cat back (already have) can be used and have some gains. check in with the local emissions office and throw some questions at em.

carb approved shorty's are legal, they hook into your stock exhaust and cat. make sure you have the carb appoval tag/sticker on or in the car. do like tig says and do a search theres lots of good info here on the site like name brands and instalation tips.
