Default Exhaust advice

I own a 1968 Camaro with a moderately built 406. the motor is very streetable and preforms rather well. the motor is equipped with a .480/.480 lift cam and a set of long tube headers. the motor sounded awesome without mufflers. then i put on a set of 40 series flowmasters with turndowns and now it sounds like a farm truck. i have considered borlas, spin techs and even purple horneys. i was wondering if anyone out there could recomend any exhaust products or tips that would make my car sound like it should.

Try running it without the turndowns, i had a 68 too and i had 1 chamber flows with it open after the mufflers and it sounded way better.
