Default 93 LT1 idles bad till high rpms?help

hi to anyone out there that reads this i have a 93 LT1 z28 camaro and it just had the heads rebuilt and a lot of wiring work! okay so first off the car starts good but it kinda sputters then you rev it to about 1500rpms and it really backfires and when you let off the oil pressure drops to almost to zero! okay now when driving it spits and sputters when it first takes off then when you get just past 2000rpms it smooths out and has power again! iv replaced the distrubter like 5 times cause its on the front of the motor dumb style if you ask me! if anyone out there can give me some pointers i will respeond a.s.a.p. thanks

iv almost used every brand you can think of the first one was old then the next one a dealer put it on and messed the seal up so it was wasted after 6months then she keeps buying cheap ones so they dont see the car is my grandmas and me and my dad have done everything we can think of! new batt. cables, heads were done by a friend really good at what he does so that i know i don't have to worry about, plugs and wires only like 6months new air filter! but ill have to see if shes put a fuel filter on that's a good idea always forget about that little thing ahah i was think since it has highmiles that the main bearings are shot and the piston rings cause it has barly any oil pressure idling!

do the filter and see what happens. the cheap optis are usually rebilt. sometimes they work good and sometimes not. have read on here of some rebuit optis lasting a month. msd makes a good one but on the spendy side. the gm performance is a good one at a little less. had a gm performance in my first 93z and it went for 100k miles no problems. have a msd on this one and no troubles yet. also on the oil pres. are u using 10 30 wt.

yeah we've bought stock and aftermarkets we just ordered the msd one to hopefully take that out of the picture! its just weird that the oil gauge go down to 0 when idling then only goes past 50 if you really get on her! maybe its bad gauges! idk once we get all that stuff put on ill get back on here and update!

oh and we added heavier weight oil to make up for the clearance in the main bearings hoping that would stop it!
